Pattu 4 Art Print forms part of Namrata Kumar’s Pattus of Kullu Valley series, which draws from the traditional winter wraps, scarves and woollen garments of the Himalayan valley in North India. The artwork abstracts the folds of wool, the tied scarf at the head, the layered blankets and mountain light into flat planes of hue, texture suggestion and calm geometry. Warm cloth tones meet cool backdrop tones, hinting at altitude, cold air and cultural attire.
